'Do your little bit of good wherever you are.

It's those little bits of good put together

that overwhelm the world.'

Desmond Tutu

Your time   Consider becoming a force for good in your community by serving those who are hurting, and those who serve. Train with us, with or without a canine, to develop the skills that make a difference for someone in crisis.

Can't really see yourself as a responder rushing out in the middle of the night to a natural disaster or other critical incident?

Or, are you looking to build skills and gain experience that can help you reach your career goals?

There are many ways to volunteer your time that offer critical mission support to the crisis response canine teams.

Consider volunteering from home to support our mission or, to gain real world experience in logistics, planning, finance, record keeping, data management, program development, marketing, photography, social communications and website & app development.

Volunteer internships are available to meet your short term or long term objectives. If you're still in school, NATIONAL can work with you to meet the objectives of your academic program. If you're seeking advancement in your career, an internship may help you gain the relevant experience you need.

Your expertise   Like all nonprofits, NATIONAL has a need for professional expertise that helps us identify the best practices in operations, governance and culture. If you're passionate about helping others, please consider volunteering with us as an advisor or coach in your area of expertise.

Your in kind support   Whether the callout is to respond to natural disasters, tragedy with human origins or acts of terrorism, travel expenses and logistics are often the main barrier to deploying the canine strike teams to the scene.

Your donated air miles, hotel nights, rental car days and unused gift cards can help us be present where people are hurting.

While our humanitarian mission depends on people and canines, technology plays an important role. Your in-kind donation of software licenses, mobile apps, hardware, smart phones, mobile hot spots and battery packs, remote locating devices, tech support and cloud-based services help us to deliver on our mission safely and effectively.

Your financial support   Fundraising specialist often tell us we're more likely to receive donations when we present emotional, personal stories about the individuals we serve.

Respectfully, we disagree. We believe you understand human suffering. We believe you have all the compassion and empathy you need to be a force for good. We believe you can decide to help us respond to those who are hurting without us disclosing the very personal details of their trauma, grief, despair, guilt and shame.

Donations may be made through the PayPal Giving Fund which allows you to make a tax-deductible donation using a credit/debit card, your PayPal account, or your banking account. All transactions are secure and encrypted, and PayPal never shares your account information with us.

If you have a PayPal account, the PayPal Giving Fund donation page will prompt you to simply log in to make your donation. No PayPal account? No worries. You can quickly create one when making your donation.

100% percent of your donation goes to help those who are hurting.  NATIONAL Crisis Response Canines is an all-volunteer nonprofit, and the PayPal Giving Fund never charges a fee to you, the donor, or to us. You’ll receive a tax receipt by email from the PayPal Giving Fund.

NATIONAL Crisis Response Canines is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, registered in Oregon, with crisis response canine teams in communities across the Unified States.
